Hi! I am Lesa Thomas, I am one of your school counselors here at MRHE, I have been a part of the MRH family for over 10 years, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I understand that these next several weeks are going to look anything but routine and normal. As your school counselor I want to help support your child during this time in both their academic and social-emotional domains. Please know that I am here for you and you are not alone.
About me: My husband, Terrald, and I moved to St. Louis 17 years ago from Alabama “Roll Tide”. We are the parents of two, Trent (25), Kaitlyn (20) and our furry baby Bentley (4). I enjoy football, cooking and spending time with my loving family.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly, it truly takes a village.
Stay MRH STRONG!

Hi there! I am Todd Byrne and I am one of your School Counselors here at MRHE. This is my 3rd year with our MRH community. I see my role as contributing to our positive school culture, creating meaningful opportunities, and ensuring access to academic and mental health needs to all of our students. You can reach out to me if your student is having difficulty coping with a stressful time, needs help problem-solving, and/or needs additional support in any way.
About me: I moved to St. Louis from Indianapolis, IN with my wife, Alison, and daughter, Adeline (2) in 2019. I welcomed a second daughter, Emersyn, to the family over the summer. My family and I love the outdoors and spend a lot of our time taking walks and playing out in our yard. I play soccer and enjoy several other activities such as tennis, swimming, and yoga. We've really grown to love the St. Louis area and are so grateful to be closer to family here.
The MRH community is truly spectacular and I am so proud to be a part of it. Please reach out if your child would benefit from a counselor check-in and/or if you have any questions. I am so happy to be here with your community and will do my best to support you however I can.

Hi! I am Lizzie Wiegert and I am the Social Emotional Support Teacher at MRHE. That means my role is to lead the R3 Classroom, host small group interventions to teach social emotional skills, perform check-ins with students who might need extra support, lead restorative conversations in the school community, and more. My classroom space houses the sensory room where students can come to take a quick break, calm down, and/or refocus before reentering their learning environment. R3 stands for, Reflect, Restore, Reengage – which is the underlying philosophy for the work I do, based on restorative practices; everything starts with relationships, and from there we can help students move forward in their academics.
I started at MRHE in 2012, looping in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms, before I moved to this position in 2019. I am passionate about helping kids recognize their value, importance, and strengths; I prioritize respect and kindness, and showing students the doors that will open with those values.
My husband Andy and I are both born and raised in St. Louis, and currently live in the Sunset Hills area with our two little girls, Hattie (7) and Birdie (4). I enjoy spending time with my family (games, outside play, movies!); exercising (both physical and mental!); reading and cooking (trying new books and recipes); and, maybe a little shopping! ☺
I truly love my job, and I love the students so very much. Do not hesitate to reach out to me directly about anything, particularly regarding social emotional needs. [email protected]
